Cattle Population at 16.7 M

The Head of National Statistics Agency, Rusman Heriawan, said that early census results showed that total cattles and buffalo in Indonesia reached 16.7 million. Some 14.8 million are for slaughters, 597,100 are for milk and 1.3 million are buffalo. More than half, at 51 percent, are located in Java. Some 19 percent are in Sumatera and 3.2 percent are in Bali and Nusa Tenggara.
